If you haven't checked out this site, you probably should. Great listing for the whole country, by location or date. I'm using it to get out to as many new places as I can this year. My current driving limit is 2 hours or so. Sometimes there's just nothing like going where not a soul knows you, and getting a fresh reaction. Always good to meet and hear new people! I especially recommend the Towne Crier in Pawling and the Night Eagle in Oxford, both have supportive friendly crowds, great sound, and consistently high level of talent.
