Topic:	Best Open Mic in the area?

by: Rkstar Jan. 22, '08 1:23am	Since no one answered this yet, I figured I'd jump in. I don't really think I have a favorite... but I do know a lot of good ones. I have a personal affinity for the rkstar open mic at the moon & river on sundays (but then... i host it). Other good ones include - Thursdays at Caffe Lena, Mondays at the Muddy Cup, Wednesdays at Jitters, Wednesdays at the Lark Tavern, once a month at Ground Zero, and once a month at Samuel's. They all have their different crowds, atmospheres, rules, equipment, etc. So I would hesitate to pick one I consider to be the best. If I could go back in time, the open mic at the Van Dyck in the Summer of '04 was the best. Hopefully we'll be able to bring that back sometime.

by: patman Jan. 30, '08 8:37pm	i gotta vote for the Van Dyck--whatever year i was there. Not because i was there, just because in retrospect--it was cool...yea baby. But time moves on...so my late new years resolution is to go to all the OM'S AND ROCK OUT TILL PEOPLE'S EARS BLEED! Um, it would be fun but i'm just trippin' that's all.
